This really takes me back to when I lived in Buenos Aires in the mid 90s. Tango was everywhere so I gave it a shot. The music, the melancholy, the sensuality, the louche air that hung over the dance halls made for a hypnotic cocktail. But I didn't get very far. I didn't improve as quickly as I expected so I gave up. Too impatient.

Failing to learn, or at least failing to start to learn tango, is the one regret I have from my years in Argentina. I plan to put that right one of these days, probably when the kids are a bit older and we have more time in the evenings.

Next time I'll learn it properly. Slowly, in other words.
